
At 36 years old, the American Julia Webb beat the female record of the half-marathon with a stroller in her hand. It was with her youngest daughter, 10 months old, that the champion traveled Route 66, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the end of November.
It is a record to say the least surprising in which this young mother embarked. On November 24 in Oklahoma, in the United States, Julia Webb ran a half marathon, accompanied by her 10 month old daughter in her stroller. All in 1 hour, 21 minutes and 23 seconds, reports Good Morning America .
At 36, this mother of three was not only the first woman to cross the finish line of this half-marathon, but also beat the Guinness reccord of the half-marathon in a stroller , previously owned by a mother. Englishwoman Lindsy James in 2016 with a time of 1 hour, 27 minutes and 34 seconds. Photos and videos have been sent to the Guinness World Records to prove the performance of the young mother, who will have to wait around 12 weeks to receive her title.
“You can involve your whole family in your passion”
Julia Webb took on a very personal challenge, forced to stop the race due to an injury during her first pregnancy 8 years ago. She, who was not sure if she could resume sport , managed to start running again with her daughter, now 7 years old, in her stroller.
